Best First-Person RPG Games for PC (2022 Update)
First-person RPGs are a great type of game that offers a variety of thrilling and breathtaking experiences.
There are many third-person RPGs, but there is only a few first-person RPGs that are worth your time.
So I decided to make my top-of-the-line first-person RPGs.
This article will only list the top first-person RPGs for PC, which I ranked based on my opinion.
You may disagree with the decision or prefer one of the games, but it just feels right to my mind that it is that way.
BioShock Infinite is the best first-person RPG. It is a shooter in which you play as a Booker. This protagonist completes different objectives in a Columbia sky-city.
BioShock Infinite is the best game for me. It has the most exciting plot that I’ve ever seen.
You must develop your character through gameplay and missions. This is what this list is about. You should not waste your time; plan ahead.
You can also pick up weapons from defeated enemies, or find them near you, in any first-person shooting video game.
This is a great first-person RPG, so be sure to get it checked out.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim is Bethesda’s first masterpiece on this list.
This RPG is first-person and has an open world. It is set in the early years of human history, in a fantasy world called Skyrim that is inhabited dragons and other creatures.
You are Alduin, the World-Eater’s chosen one and only one who can defeat this most dangerous dragon.
You begin the game with character creation. After that, you start your journey. You will need to accomplish exciting quests on your journey that either lead you to the main objective, or reveal more about this world.
You gain experience by completing the quests and defeating the monsters. This can be used to enhance your character skills or buy other goods that will make you stronger.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, a first-person RPG with an open world, is my favorite. I highly recommend it.
Fallout 4 is an RPG first-person game that Bethesda has developed. While the first one depicts the early days of civilization, the second is about the future.
They are very similar in that you complete quests and kill monsters to gain experience, and you also get different goods. However, this time it takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting so instead of fighting dragons you will fight with mutants. Also, instead of using a sword you will use a laser rifle.
ARK: Survival Evolved
Ark: Survival Evolved, another RPG for first-person players, features an open world with dinosaurs and other enemies.
Yes, there is a multiplayer mode.
The primary objective is to survive.
There are no rules. You can build bases, raise animals, ride on them, collect resources and make guns.
Deliverance: Kingdom Comes
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the newest game on our best first-person RPGs List.
This single-player, open-world game is based on the true story of a 1403 war in Bohemia.
Henry, a protagonist, enrolls in the Lord Radzig Kobyla Service to seek revenge for his father’s death.
He must learn everything about war. These are not skills points or equipment that determine the outcome of a battle; it is a player’s gaming skill.
This first-person RPG has a lot of interesting features, including its realist aspect.
The game recreates 1403 events thanks to historians and architects. It includes accurate buildings, weapons, combat techniques, clothing, and other details.
It also contains a need system that a player must follow to keep healthy. For example, they must eat and sleep at the right time.
Payday 2 is the sixth RPG for first-person.
To get your retirement funds, you will need to complete a series of heists with up to three friends in this FPS RPG.
You will gain experience after a successful heist.
Borderlands 2 can also be played with up three friends in cooperative campaigns.
The game’s gameplay is straightforward: A player selects from one of four characters and completes missions to loot different items (weapons or shields, skins etc.). You can also learn skills for your character.
Our next game will include a first-person RPG, an open-world, horror, survival, action-adventure, and an open-world.
According to the plot, Kyle Crane is an undercover agent sent to Harran to obtain a file that could affect his agency’s reputation.
After you arrive, you will have to decide what you do. You can either stay focused on your mission, or help others to survive.
You can choose any of the options, but you’ll need to find useful resources to make weapons (Dying light has an amazing variety of ammunition), complete various quests and kill hordes zombies.
One of the best RPG games for first-person is the cooperative mode, where you can work together on missions with up to three other friends.
Mount & Blade: Warband
Mount & Blade takes place in the medieval ages. It is a sandbox, first-person RPG with no storyline. It’s like a simulation of a medieval warrior.
You will have the opportunity to personalize the appearance and origin of your warrior at the beginning. This will help you define his initial attributes.
You are now free to do whatever you want: fight in tournaments or siege castles.
Mount & Blade’s core element is a combat mode. It’s pretty diverse and close to reality, so you can do almost anything that was possible during medieval times.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the last first-person RPG I’d like to include. Shadow of Chernobyl
Even though it was released years ago, I think the game is worthy of being on the list.
This shooter has elements of survival horror and takes you to Chernobyl, the second nuclear catastrophe in the near future. You play as the Marked One to kill the mysterious Strelok man.
It has a rich story with 7 endings. The atmosphere is fantastic and immerses you in the Chernobyl.
The gameplay involves scavenging radioactive materials for useful resources, killing hostile monsters, and completing various missions.
In general, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is generally a good game. Shadow of Chernobyl has been in development for nearly 6 years. It has a great storyline that will keep you playing for months. There are also two other games in the series that will take many years to complete.
Its outdated graphics are the only thing that I don’t like, but this can easily be fixed by installing a patch. Make sure you check it out.
Let’s sum it up. You just read my top first-person RPG games lists and I think you’ve found something.
Even though I tried my best to rank first-person RPGs correctly, it is possible that you will find your favorite game lower than others. Don’t expect the game in the first place you choose to play to be the one you have always wanted. Just find the one that feels more like you and then go with it.
If you think I’ve missed something, or if you have suggestions for games that should be added to the list please let me know below in the comments. If it is truly worthy, I will quickly review it and add it to the list.
