Cyberpunk 2077 – Dream On Quest Bug – How to fix

Cyberpunk2077 Dream On bug It seems like the quest ” Dream on ” is being bugged by a lot of players in Cyberpunk2077. Here’s how to fix it.

Cyberpunk 2077 has the Dream On quest bugged

What’s the deal with this bug?

Cyberpunk 2077 was released almost two weeks ago and I must say that this launch is one of the most difficult I have ever seen. I don’t really want to get into the details. Because the world is pretty certain that this is what’s going on.

There are many bugs in the game, and more are being discovered every day. This bug is the Dream On mission bug. You will be asked to ” Follow The Cables” in the mission. This is where the mission gets bugged. The players experiencing the bug say that the next steps to complete the mission are not possible even after they have followed the cables.

This is a detailed description of the bug written by , a user of CDPR Forum.

I am currently working on the dream on quest. I have completed the step in my quest, but the game doesn’t seem to recognize that I didn’t and it isn’t allowing me continue with the quest. I tried exiting the game, restarting it and failed. Does anyone know how to get around this?

You will find many comments from other players experiencing the same problem on the post. Here’s one from /Khelsi_OReilly

Hi,

Similar here. I am stuck in “..follow the cables I followed them and scanned all the items you need to scan. Then, I got the “get out of this apartment” part. But when I go outside, I find no tracker or pointer. Only the one from “follow these cables”.

So far, I have only done the following: Reloading an earlier save and starting over again. However, no other changes were made. Please let me know.

CDPR claimed that most bugs were fixed with the latest v1.05 patch. It seems that they either didn’t tell the truth or forgot about it. This is so frustrating.

How to fix the Dream On bug

Update: Patch 1.07 is coming soon. The Patch Notes will be posted here.

There is a solution. It has so far worked for the majority of players who tried it.

This was suggested by user of CDPR Forum/McRaoul.

Anyone who insists on following the cables will find the hidden room first and then the antenna on top. CD Project Red did not consider that the antenna can be found by climbing to the exterior of the house before the hidden room. The game feels rushed to me. Reload, locate the hidden room, climb up the ladder, scan the antenna, and you will be fine.

A user named /Jenn_Zed further refined the fix:

I also had the same bug “follow the cables” as you. I found the room, the transmitter on top of the roof, and then I began scanning objects for the rest of the mission.

I then loaded an autosave I had previously used to look around Elizabeth’s apartment. I then scanned both the bullet holes and bloodstains on the hallway wall, and went downstairs to the SSI Security Room. I got the pass code for one computer, opened the secret door to the second computer and went upstairs to scan the Smart Glass panel. Elizabeth then got a headache so I went upstairs to scan the tech on the wall. I then followed the cables to the top and onto the UHF Transmitter.

When completed in this order, the mission was complete.

I’m about leave the apartment to find the van.

You can wait for CDPR’s official fix. However, given how dire the situation is right now, I don’t think they will release an official fix. If the solution works, let everyone know by commenting below.
